While some nations allocate their budgets to military expenses or tax benefits for the wealthy, Ireland chooses to invest in the welfare of its artists. Following a triumphant three-year trial, the Irish government has established its basic income initiative for artists as a permanent fixture. In contrast, similar programs in the United States rely heavily on nonprofit backing. This might be a cue for American lawmakers to take note of our detailed findings below.
