Georgina Arroyo, based in Westchester, New York, shares her unique workspace experience. Since 2023, Georgina has been intermittently creating art in this space. Without a traditional studio, her work is spread across different locations, primarily at Purchase College. She plans her workflow meticulously, often working in shared spaces like the casting studio, which influences her process and precision.
Linda Jacobson, from Venice, California, has been working in her current studio for 17 years. Her typical day involves multiple ongoing projects, with a current focus on a large commissioned painting. She enjoys the studio’s uplifting atmosphere, with high ceilings and abundant natural light, and finds inspiration in the surrounding art community and local scenery.
Both artists express a love for their studios, highlighting the unique qualities that each space offers. Georgina appreciates the integration of her workspace into her life, while Linda values the light and openness of her studio. Each artist also notes areas for improvement, such as a desire for increased space or storage.
