Pickleball enthusiasts in downtown Pittsburgh can now enjoy an artistic backdrop while they play, thanks to Sharmistha Ray’s vivid floor murals.
Ray’s new installation, titled “Geometry of Play,” invites the public to step directly into the colorful environment — and onto its surfaces — with a pickleball paddle in hand.
The project transforms the courts into more than just a place for sport, blending movement and visual art in a way that adds a striking new dimension to the game.
As players rally across the painted surfaces, the installation offers an immersive experience that merges recreation with Ray’s bold and energetic aesthetic.
