Following its successful debut last spring, the Brooklyn Fine Art Print Fair is set to return to Powerhouse Arts in Gowanus from April 9 to 12, 2026. Organized by Powerhouse Arts alongside Fine Arts Baltimore, this is Brooklyn’s sole event devoted entirely to fine art printmaking. The fair continues its aim of offering a dedicated platform for galleries, studios, academic programs, and independent artists engaged in contemporary printmaking.
A significant addition to the 2026 edition is a juried national print exhibition hosted by MGC Community Print Studio, formerly known as Manhattan Graphics Center. This exhibition, located in the Small Hall at Powerhouse Arts, showcases contemporary printworks selected via an open call, marking MGC’s 40th anniversary. This juried exhibition adds a curatorial aspect to the fair’s commercial offerings, underscoring its commitment to accessibility and professional growth within the printmaking community.
This year, the Brooklyn Fine Art Print Fair witnesses increased academic involvement, with printmaking departments from various U.S. institutions joining returning New York-based programs. The fair serves as a nexus for education, production, and engagement, aiming to establish the borough as a dynamic hub for contemporary print exchange.
Public programming remains a core component of the fair, with events such as talks, demonstrations, guided booth tours, printshop tours, and community-focused activities designed to provide context for the medium and foster dialogue among artists, exhibitors, collectors, and the public. Social events for both exhibitors and visitors further encourage interaction and networking throughout the weekend.
Held within the lively arts fabrication facility of Powerhouse Arts, the Brooklyn Fine Art Print Fair fosters a vibrant community of artists, creators, and enthusiasts. The setting emphasizes the importance of material expertise, collaboration, and the art of printmaking. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit brooklynprintfair.org.
