Ireland Leads in Artists' Support with Permanent Income Scheme

While some nations allocate their budgets to military expenses or tax benefits for the wealthy, Ireland chooses to invest in the welfare of its artists. Following a triumphant three-year trial, the Irish government has established its basic income initiative for artists as a permanent fixture. On another note, I invite you to a virtual conversation with artist and Hyperallergic contributor Damien Davis on March 2 from 3–4pm ET. Damien has penned some of our most engaging articles over the past two years. Our discussion will cover his artistic endeavors, writings, and what sparks his passion in the art scene. I hope you can join us.
