Conductor, a Brooklyn Art Fair With a Worldwide Focus, Makes Its Spring Debut

In 2025, Brooklyn-based Powerhouse Arts announced that a new fair would be added to the spring art calendar: Conductor: Art Fair of the Global Majority, a phrase used to describe people of African, Asian, Indigenous, and Latin American descent, among other communities around the world.

Following the momentum of that curated preview, Conductor will stage its inaugural edition this spring at Powerhouse Arts in Brooklyn. The fair is being introduced as a platform for artists and galleries from Africa, Latin America, Asia, and Indigenous nations around the world.

Organizers say the event is designed to widen the conversation around contemporary art and market visibility, bringing together participants from across the globe while spotlighting work outside the traditional Western center. The fair is intended to reflect a rising demand for a more expansive and inclusive art market.

Framed as both a showcase and a marketplace, Conductor places artists, galleries, and international exchange at the center of its first full edition. As it prepares to open, the fair aims to establish itself as a new point of connection within the global art scene.
