SAIC Announces Graduate Admissions Events Nationwide and Online

The graduate admissions team at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago has organized a range of events to support students as they build competitive applications to its graduate programs. Over the coming months, prospective applicants can take part in virtual or in-person sessions to learn more about graduate degrees at SAIC and have their questions answered.

Virtual events begin with Architecture & Design Programs Deep Dive on 8/25/26 at 12 p.m. CT, followed by Low-Residency MFA Program Deep Dive the same day at 6 p.m. CT. Additional online sessions include MA Programs Deep Dive on 9/1/26 at 12 p.m. CT, Application Prep Series: Statement of Intent on 9/15/26 at 12 p.m. CT, Application Prep Series: Portfolio Overview on 9/22/26 at 12 p.m. CT, Graduate National Portfolio Day Online on 9/26/26 from 12–4 p.m. CT, Application Prep Series: Application Process & Submitting in SlideRoom on 9/29/26 at 12 p.m. CT, and Graduate National Portfolio Day Online #2 on 11/15/26 from 11 a.m.–3 p.m. CT.

On-campus events include Graduate Admissions Meet and Greet on 10/15/26 from 5–7 p.m. CT, Chicago Graduate Portfolio Day on 10/17/26 from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. CT, and Explore SAIC on 12/5/26 from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. CT. The school will also bring admissions representatives to cities across the country for one-on-one meetings, with appointments available in September. Locations and dates include California: Los Angeles, Nov 4-6; San Francisco Nov 9-11, Maryland: Baltimore, Nov 4-6, Massachusetts: Boston, Nov 11-13, New York: New York City, Nov 11-13, Pennsylvania: Philadelphia, Nov 4-6, Rhode Island: Providence, Nov Nov 11-13, and Washington, D.C.: Nov 4-6.

National Graduate Portfolio Days are scheduled for 10/17/26 in Chicago, IL; 11/8/26 in Oakland, CA; 11/8/26 in New York, NY; and 12/7/26 in Miami, FL. These events give prospective students a chance to receive feedback on their portfolios while also learning more about curricula, faculty, and application procedures from a number of colleges.
