Taiwan Pavilion Name Restored for Gwangju Biennale

Taiwan’s pavilion for the 2026 Gwangju Biennale has had its name restored after a dispute in which the Biennale listed Taiwanese artists under an acronym.

In Biennale materials, the pavilion had been identified as “TWP,” a description that drew objections from those who challenged the abbreviation.

The name has now been changed back to Taiwan Pavilion.
