Exhibition Celebrates Chubb Fellows' Artistic Excellence

The Green Family Art Foundation in Dallas, curated by Katherine Delony, presents Chubb Fellows & Friends, an exhibition spotlighting the artistic accomplishments fostered by the New York Academy of Art’s demanding curriculum and dedication to studio work. This exhibition features pieces by former Chubb Fellows and an extensive network of alumni, faculty, and artists closely connected to the institution, emphasizing a community bonded by technical adeptness and contemporary innovation.

As the Green family curated their collection, they noticed that many artists they esteemed were associated with the New York Academy of Art. A number of these artists had received the prestigious Chubb Fellowship, awarded to alumni who exhibit remarkable skill and vision. This realization underscored the consistent quality of the Academy’s training, leading to artists whose work aligns with the Foundation’s values. The Chubb Fellows & Friends exhibition was created to celebrate this synergy and publicly showcase it.

Showcasing a variety of media including painting, drawing, sculpture, and mixed media, the exhibition features artists who share a foundation in keen observation and anatomical precision, believing that mastery of these fundamentals is essential for creative growth. Notable artists in the exhibition include Trey Abdella, Lydia Baker, Ali Banisadr, Amy Bennett, Cecily Brown, and Tracey Emin, among others.

Chubb Fellows & Friends is on display at the New York Academy of Art, located at 111 Franklin Street, until March 1, 2026. For further details, visit nyaa.edu.
